Fredegar Bolger (TE 2980 - CE ?) – hobbit z Shire. Z powodu nieprzeciętnej tuszy nazywany był Grubasem. Fredgar Bolger carries a variety of Hobbit-sized kitchen implements (counts as being unarmed) Fredegar "Fatty" Bolger was one of the small group of Hobbits who knew that Frodo had the Ring. Fatty was a descendant of Hildibrand Took (TA 2849 - TA 2934), one of the many sons of the Gerontius Took. He was the son of Odovacar Bolger and Rosamunda Took. Fatty was born in TA 2980. He had a younger sister, Estella (TA 2985 - ?), who married Meriadoc Brandybuck. Located in Buckland Born in 2980 3A, Fatty and his sister were descendants of Hildibrand Took, one of the many sons of the Old Took. along with Folco Boffin, Sam, Merry and Pippin were one of Frodo Baggins's friends, and helped move his things from Bag End to his new home at Crickhollow. There, he and Merry welcome Frodo, Sam and Pippin when those three arrive from Bucklebury. Während der Herrschaft von Lotho Sackheim-Beutlin war Fredegar der Anführer einiger Aufständiger Hobbits, die sich der Willkür Lothos entgegenstellten. Fredegar und seine Getreuen wurden daraufhin in den Dachsbauten, in die sich zurückgezogen hatten, von den Strolchen ausgeräuchert und in Michelbinge ins Loch (Gefängnis des Auenlandes) gesteckt, in dem er fast bis zur Unkenntlichkeit abmagerte. Fredegar hatte eine Schwester namens Estella. Er war auch Gast auf Bilbos Abschiedsfest. Wann Fredegar gestorben ist, wird nicht berichtet.
