Fyrefliis were a large insect species of bioluminescent flii native to the planet Kubindi. On their homeworld, which was frequently subject to solar flares, the species could be found within the Silver Forest of Dreams. The protocol droid C-3PO and another member of the Rebel Heroes of Yavin encountered four fyrefliis while lost in the forest in the year 0 ABY, thinking the insects were someone who could help them. When the heroes later left Kubindi in the Millennium Falcon, a YT-1300 light freighter, they saw many fyrefliis lighting up the night sky, thousands of feet above them.
