Begun as a pet project by freelance journalist Rich Burge in 2010, Vintagewave.co.za is set to become a major thoroughfare for music aficionado's across South Africa. Rich is a currently a student studying Business at the University of Cape Town. His main inspiration behind the site was his love of the underground music scene. Most notably the indie rock genre which has a massive South African support base, however lacks the media channels for any sort of promotion.

Rich aims to provide a local hub for talented young musicians and enthusiasts to share their love for indie/alternative rock. He hopes to connect the world to South African indie by providing fresh music news, album reviews and local artist interviews.
