Pledge
rdfs:comment
The Pledge is located in the Cell of Repentance in the Funeral chapter by using the Red Crayon. Pledge (誓約) is a Mental Interference Magic used by Tsukuba Touka. Pledge is cast under the consent of the magician, it limits the mental activity of a chosen subject semi-permanently. The mind of a target cannot be bound unilaterally, for a "key" exists to release the partner’s independent will. It's a magic which enables partial control over someone while still maintaining the emotional state of the controlled subject. Pledge is a vow tied into the strands of Wyrd, enforcing it with the very nature of the fae and fate itself. These pledges can grant changelings advantages in the form of boons, and inflict punishments against those who would break them. Pledge is a movie created by Ann Steuernagel. Bernard and Lupo investigate the murder of the son of a pair of scientists. Initially, the investigation focuses on a zealous journalist, who has been attempting to pursue a story about his parents' potentially misappropriated research funds. The term commonly used for an Elven marriage vow, between two partners referred to as trothmates. However, Elves regard pledging differently than mortal species such as humans, Chakka or Warrows. Since they are immortal, they do not pledge to remain together for the rest of their lives. Instead, pledging is a potentially temporary union, which bids them only to stay together for as long as their destinies require and as long as they have "common ground." No pretense of permanency is included in their vows.

Bernard and Lupo investigate the murder of the son of a pair of scientists. Initially, the investigation focuses on a zealous journalist, who has been attempting to pursue a story about his parents' potentially misappropriated research funds. When a lock of the murdered boy's hair arrives from Amherst, Massachusetts - a well-known college town near Springfield, home to a large public university, and several exclusive private colleges - the detectives uncover a decades' old grudge, fueled by a wanna-be suitor's jealousy over perceived academic and class elitism, which he believes ruined his chance at happiness. It is typical that if a pair of lovers have gotten to the point of pledging that they will remain together for a long time. Occasionally a pledged pair will go their separate ways. For instance, Faeon was originally the trothmate of Eiron. However, after the death of their son Galarun, they parted and she instead became pledged to Inarion. There seems to be no formalities for dissolving a pledge; the partners simply cease their relationship. A pledging is primarily a speech given by a high-ranking Elf in front of a large crowd of witnesses, which explains the nature of the pledge to the trothmates. After that, there is a celebration. Pledge is a vow tied into the strands of Wyrd, enforcing it with the very nature of the fae and fate itself. These pledges can grant changelings advantages in the form of boons, and inflict punishments against those who would break them. Tatsuya is the only known subject for this magic to be used on, and Miyuki being the "key" to releasing it. A side-effect of the magic is less control of her powers and so causes Miyuki's power to run rampant when she becomes emotional. Pledge is a movie created by Ann Steuernagel.
