Mary: Let’s go in there. April: Yes. Shopping! Jon: Why not. Drake: What about your island challenge? April: It’s not going anywhere. Jon: Well, that give us time to do what we want. Typhlosion: Phlo. Rotom-Dex: zzt, I suggest some items for your Pokemon. Jon: Good idea Rotom. We need Pokemon food and we need to get some things for when we leave Hau’oli City. Drake: Right. Jon: What? Drake: Why you little! Jon: Who is that Pokemon? Rotom-Dex: Grubbin, the Larva Pokemon. Grubbin is a bug type Pokemon. Its strong jaw enables it to scrape trees and slurp out the sap. It normally lives underground. Jon: There’s so many. Drake: Yeah. Why are 10 Grubbin living here? Jon: That didn’t sound like a Grubbin. Jon: And another new Pokemon? Rotom-Dex: Vikavolt, the stag beetle Pokemon. Vikavolt is a bug and electric type. It zips around on a sharp lookout for an opening. It concentrates electrical energy within its large jaw and uses it to zap its enemies. Jon: Whoa! Drake: This Pokemon seems like a threat. Jon: No kidding! Jon: Flamethrower! Drake: That was close. Jon: I’ll give chase, you take care of the Grubbin. Drake: Right, 10 Grubbin. Right. Let’s go! Drake: Rowlet, use Leafage! Woman: Thanks. Jon: No problem. Vikavolt, why are you attacking everyone? Vikavolt: Volt! Jon: That doesn’t help! Jon: Flamethrower! April: Whoa! Jon: Why are you attacking us Vikavolt?! Vikavolt: Vi, Vika. Volt Vo Volt. Jon: At least I understand now. April: Understand what? Jon: Did you deal with the Grubbin? Drake: Yeah. They are all caught up in their own String Shot. Jon: I see. Mary: You said you understand to Vikavolt. Drake: You understand Vikavolt? Jon: Truth be told, I understand all Pokemon. I understand their language. Vikavolt is acting like this towards trainers because her own trainer abandoned her. Mary: Oh, I see. Vikavolt: Volt Vikavolt. Jon: You just want to be left alone? Drake: That’s understandable. Owner: What is happening here? Drake: Some Grubbin and this Vikavolt attacked us. Jon: They just want to be left alone in their shop. Owner: That’s fine, but the Grubbing keep on stealing things from our shops. Vikavolt: Volt. Vi Vi. Jon: Vikavolt says that will stop. Owner: Good to know. Then we will leave that part of the mall alone. Mary: So, get any shopping done? Jon: Yeah, we got some Pokemon food. Drake: And other things for our Pokemon. April: That’s good. We got Pokemon items too. Mary: Shall we get going? Jon: Yeah. Narrator: Our heroes decided to have a bit of a shopping break before leaving Hau’oli city. While in the shopping centre, Jon and Drake encountered Vikavolt and Grubbin. After a bit of battling, Jon understood Vikavolt’s anger and the issue was sorted soon after. Now, our heroes are continuing their journey towards Jon’s first trial sight.
