The Ministry of Agriculture's main role is to aid and regulate farming of all types within Lovia, and advise Congress on what laws need to be made concerning agriculture. The Ministry inspects and improves farms, both large and small, and ensures that laws are being followed. The Ministry either improves or closes farms that are not meeting the laws of the nation. This applies to all sorts of farms, including those related to aquaculture and animal husbandry. In addition to traditional farming, the Ministry of Agriculture also runs research operations to study the impact of various techniques and chemicals on agriculture. There are some research centers owned by the Ministry of Agriculture that are studying the most efficient and environmentally friendly ways to farm, and also are studying hydroponics and aeroponics. The ministry is looking into the possibility of establishing an organisation to regulate food, including organic food oversight, comparable to the FDA in the United States.
