Venus Envy
rdfs:comment
Venus Envy was a Seattle-based all-women band. It consists of Lisa Koch, Laura Love, Linda Schieirman and Linda Cebert. Their first album, Unarmed and Dangerous, from 1990, was a six-song cassette tape with mostly cover and parody songs. Their second and landmark album, I'll be a Homo for Christmas, from 1995 (recorded in 1993), was a popular gay Christmas comedy standard. It contains parodies of songs with lesbian-themed lyrics, that occasionally result in gay sexual content. The song "Beaver Cleaver Fever" (parody of "Fever") from Unarmed and Dangerous, was redone on a Lisa Koch solo album, making it more popular.
