Hoss picks up a mail order bride for a friend, but problems arise when the bride decides she has fallen in love with Hoss and has no interest in her husband-to-be. In the 41st Millennium, the Knight Errant is a mainstay of many knightly houses. The strengths of the Knight suit are perfectly matched by the aggressive, charge-the-foe nature of its pilots. Knights Errant often spearhead attacks, and by a battle's end they will have smashed and carved their bloody way into the very thickest of the fighting. Even protected by their armour and Ion Shield, battle damage is common for such venerable engines of war. After each action, the hulking giants are literally crawling with Sacristans, for most knightly households uphold the tradition that post-battle a Knight should not be seen with so much as a single scratch upon its livery. The ancient machines are lovingly cared for, with attention paid to every armour plate and sacred unguents lavished upon every cog. No less scrutiny is spent ensuring that the Knight’s personal heraldry is likewise maintained, for the symbols it incorporates proclaim everything that a Noble takes pride in, including his home world, house, oaths, rank and his most lauded battle honours. Mieszcząca sie w Seattle filia spółki Knight Errant Security Services (która jest spółką zależną megakorporacji Ares Macrotechnology). * Seattle Division: Knight Errant Seattle Training Academy, 715 NE 3rd (main gate), Renton * Division Head: Ellen Ward The brainchild and pet project of Ares CEO Damien Knight, Knight Errant is Seattle’s second-largest security provider. The company’s training academy in Renton turns out new KE security personnel, and KE holds private security contracts throughout the metroplex. Knight Errant personnel are given the best equipment from other Ares subsidiaries. Ares Arms uses KE to test some of its newest prototypes, particularly non-lethal weapons. Sleek and stylish in their black uniforms, Knight Errant security agents have a better media profile than Lone Star. The Star officers are still regarded as beat cops, while KE personnel are considered elite. >>>>>[Yeah, but Lone Star has one thing KE doesn’t; they’re the cops. In mind of the average Seattlite, Lone Star equals police. People tend to forget that Lone Star is a corporation like any other. Sure, the Star isn’t as glamorous as Knight Errant, but they’re so entrenched in the public mind that replacing them won’t be easy.]<<<<< -Holly >>>>>[A provision in Dunkelzahn’s will gives a major windfall to the corp that develops effective non-lethal weapons technology. Ares Arms and Lone Star are both going for it, so expect to see plenty of corporate infighting over new prototypes.]<<<<< -Digger A Knights Errant are those young sons of Bretonnian nobility whom have yet to prove themselves worthy to become a honored and fully-fledge Knight of the Realm. All noble sons of Bretonnia are committed to the path of knighthood from the moment they are born. Though birth into nobility guarantees his place within the circles of Knighthood, a young noble is not honored until he has proven his worth.[1a] Some earn status through faithful service to their Lords, others through powerful connections and family ties, but the most glorious and true way for a young knight to fulfill his calling is to test himself against a foe on the field of battle.[1a] These deeds are known as Errands, and it is a requirement for a young Knight to finish his Errand before he may be accepted into the higher epsilons of Bretonnian nobility.[1a] Knights of the Empire start their careers following after some other knight, acting as nothing more than a servant. Knights Errant are expected to travel widely, often alone, seeking out perilous situations in which to prove their worth. As a result, they can be found anywhere in the Old World, sometimes to the regret of the natives.[1b] Knight errant (formerly Knight, Armored Knight and ArmKnight) is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest game series.
