List of game modes
rdfs:comment
This is a list of game modes in Team Fortress 2. Initially, the game shipped with only two game modes: Capture the Flag, and Control Point. Numerous updates have added eight new game modes (Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, Payload Race, Pass Time, Special Delivery, Robot Destruction, Player Destruction, and Mann vs. Machine) making nine official game modes, along with two training maps. These game modes are spread across over 100 official maps and offer a great variety of play styles and games in Team Fortress 2.

There are also a large number of custom gamemodes, such as Versus Saxton Hale, Prop Hunt, Slender Fortress, Death Run and more. The servers running these gamemodes often include numerous downloads for the gamemode to work, but they are still fun to explore.
