Large hammer (base item)
rdfs:comment
Large hammers are one of the basic types of one-handed weapons in ADOM. They belong to the Clubs and Hammers weapon group, and benefit and train the corresponding weapon skill. Like a number of other types of weapons, large hammers can be made of four different metals. Large hammers made of iron have typical melee stats of (-1, 1d10+2), while large eternium hammers have typical melee stats of (-1, 2d10+10). Large hammers are never generated with prefixes or suffixes.

Large hammers are more powerful than other types of generic one-handed weapons; thus, large hammers made of iron are quite useful in the early game, and large eternium hammers can be useful later in the game . Compared to less powerful weapons, the only downsides of using large hammers is that they are somewhat heavy, and that they give little bonuses to hit chance through the weapon class and the direct penalty. Aside from their use in melee, large hammers are desirable to any PCs partaking in smithing.
