n13:abstract
The President of the Worker's Commonwealth is the head of state of the Worker's Commonwealth of Great Britain. Established during the end of the democratization of the Worker's Commonwealth and after the June Protests by General Secretary Phillip Hacket, the President was assigned as the new head of state elected by the people, unlike the General Secretary and Chancellor. The first joint President and General Secretary was Phillip Hackett, however Hackett handed the title of General Secretary to William Groves, a staunch supporter of democracy, after he dissolved the Communist Party and removed it from the government's practices. The President was the first democratically elected figure of the Worker's Commonwealth in it's history.
