Tony Valtini
rdfs:comment
Tony "The Butcher" Valtini is exactly what would be expected of a man with that sobriquet a big noise in the Mafia. He's also the victim of a fairly embarrassing crime, as some vigilante went Zorro on the softer segments of his anatomy, carving a L into his buttock with a sword. When Beckett and Castle track him to his lair he, it transpires, is she. Officer Ann Hastings, one of the 12th's own. Hastings confesses to the vigilante activity, but denies murder, and it doesn't take the duo long to figure out who wanted Lone Vengeance and Tyler Faris out of the picture - Tony Valtini.

n25:abstract
Tony "The Butcher" Valtini is exactly what would be expected of a man with that sobriquet a big noise in the Mafia. He's also the victim of a fairly embarrassing crime, as some vigilante went Zorro on the softer segments of his anatomy, carving a L into his buttock with a sword. This only comes unpleasantly to light because Beckett pulls him in for questioning over the death of Tyler Faris, an ex-con who felt that Valtini owed him money, back pay according to Valtini's account. The vigilante, it turns out, goes by the name "Lone Vengeance" and has begun to push back the criminal element in the several endeavor, although never before using deadly force. Valtini had his cousin, Ernesto, make him up a Lone Vengeance suit, and decided to kill two birds with one stone, one literally, the other metaphorically. When brought to the precinct for questioning, he attempted to deny involvement, but Beckett and Castle show him a button found at the crime scene, with Ernesto's fingerprint on it and his cousin's confession regarding his Lone Vengeance costume. Caught red-handed, Valtini demanded a lawyer.
