Pindhurst Farms
rdfs:comment
The name ‘Pindhurst Farms' provokes a lot of questions; Is it a place? Have you been there? What is it? Well our answer to any of those would simply be, use your imagination. The Long Island based band was officially formed in spring 2011 by Jeff Johnson and Drew Pouliot as a jam/indie/pop project. The band was soon joined by Drummer Jenna Noe and the home grown “seeds” ep soon followed. After some time, bassist Pouliot had stepped up to guitar and the band then obtained bassist Nicole Lovisa. By Taking inspiration from rock, pop, and ska music and mixing in a jam aspect, Pindhurst Farms has created a sound that sets them apart from other bands today.

As a trio, the group released the 'seeds e.p.' in the summer of 2011 and later released a compilation of various live recordings from and during the summer of 2012 as a foursome. In September 2013, 'Timber,' was the first official track released as a preview of the album, accompanied with the bands first music video. In just a short period they have gained notoriety, participating in the New York New Music Festival, competing and advancing in all rounds of the locally sponsored Break Contest and opening for acts such as Gabriel the Marine, Socratic,Coasta, and Laura Stevenson & the Cans. As of February 10th, 2014, Pindhurst Farms released their first album which they recorded and produced as a foursome, entitled Right Now!
