Charles Deakins was the Head Councilor in the Solace Colony during its time on the Solace Station, under administrator Gideon Corey. Though he was the activist behind keeping the colony on the station for the years Corey suggested leaving, he learned of his error toward the end of their stay. After Corey took Eric Noble and members of the newly-arrived smuggler crew, a sort of civil war broke out among those left in the upper levels of the station. Durosian Councilor Werro Prell was the leader of the crazed combatants against the smugglers. Deakins, like fellow Councilor Harold Firegg before him, was killed in the fighting.
