The 2005 American National yo-yo contest was held October 1, 2005. The contest was organized by Bird In Hand owner Bob Malowney. Although the yo-yo contest had traditionaly been held at City Plaza in Chico, the 2005 event was held at the Childrens playground due to renovations at the plaza. The 2005 event also marks the first time diabolos will have a Trick Ladder competition.
