Like any kid showing off something to his friends, he lied about how he got the pipe by taking credit for the retrieval of this item catching himself in a lie. This lie made his friends require proof and through another lie he boasts about how he will go defeat Kappa. The sudden realization of what he said leaves him caught between a lie and his pride, scared to fight the Youkai and to tell the truth. He meets his acquaintance, the player, and asks for him to defeat the Youkai. When the player returns he is accompanied by Lady Shizuka who tells him the damage his lies can cause to his
