Amsel Bickford was a minor character in Stephen King's novel, It. Along with his fellow employer David artwell, he was a union ring leader who often worked around several of the Kenduskeag's construction areas. He was decapitated and killed by a crazed lumberman named Claude Heroux (who was actually possessed by the demonic entity IT) somewhere around 1905.
