* The Scroll of Magic Mapping, used with a Potion of Mind Vision, can be particularly useful, if you choose to run stealthily and avoid any fights. ** This is particularly true for the Demon Halls stage . * If you have already used a Scroll of Magic Mapping, don't bother tapping Search, as you will already know the location/existence of all rooms & traps.

These are quite valuable, especially if the player wields sources of on-demand teleportation, to help traverse a level or get to important parts quickly. The Dwarven Halls or VDDL can be revealed in this manner to reveal the respective down staircases, the immediate goals in both places. The Minotaur Maze is much, much easier to deal with using these scrolls too, if smartly used. Even for regular dungeon levels, these can be very useful if it is hard to explore normally.
