The advice turned out to be a trap, with Family member Oscura using his powers to swap bodies with Sonic (and swapped Tails' with Zip the flea). In Sonic's body, Oscura convinced the public that he was a true hero. However, he then created an illusion that made everyone believe the district was under attack from flying whales. Sonic sussed out the ploy and was able to get his body back, "saving" the district at the same time.
