Carnevale
rdfs:comment
Carnevale is a suite for chamber winds, comprised of eight miniature masterpieces from among those used by Stravinsky in his ballet with song, Pulcinella. The ballet centers on the concept of disguised identity, and Stravinsky plays on the concept of false identity by his "borrowing" of these pieces from 18th century Italian composers Domenico Gallo, Carlo Monza, and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, and also in the title of this work, which comes from an annual masquerade extravaganza held throughout Italy. Carnevale was the Forward from the Serie A winning team - US Lecce in Captain Tsubasa 5. Being known for his strong physique, Carnevale has played his way through from Serie B alongside Mancini and Bruno to promoting Lecce to Serie A. Initially, detesting Tsubasa Ozora for taking up a player spot from his fellow buddy from the original Serie B team, Carnevale eventually realized Tsubasa's abilities after the match against Inter Milan. Later, Mancini and Carnevale is selected into the Italian national team.

The composer Thomas Stone was born in Wisconsin and earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music. A renowned composer and arranger, Dr. Stone currently teaches and conducts the Wind Ensemble at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA. --James Huff 05:56, 23 November 2008 (UTC) (from the program notes of The Claremont Winds, submitted with permission)
