The Pirate class specializes in attacks that hit with regular damage but simultaneously cripple a specific enemy stat and carry skills that center around enhancing straightforward combat. The nature of the class's abilities stresses its flexibility in a team while being less than stellar when on its own. The Pirate class specializes in attacks that hit with regular damage but simultaneously cripple a specific enemy stat and carry skills that center around enhancing straightforward combat. The nature of the class's abilities stresses its flexibility in a team while being less than stellar when on its own. They are popularly used in conjunction with the Swordmaster as its Free Lunch skill helps to offset the price of the Pirate's Amped Strike. The job makes no use of magic, leaving little by way of MP and other magic related stats. However, note that Amped Strike requires half of the user's maximum MP for usage. To further cement the usage of this job in physical combat, strength is its highest stat seemingly at the cost of everything else being somewhat average. In terms of weaponry, the Pirate has a maximum aptitude for Axes but can also use swords and shields.
