Temaida
rdfs:comment
Temaida is a raka noble family that is based in the Copper Isles. It is a cadet branch of the Haiming Dynasty and survived the purge that the Rittevon rulers attempted in order to eradicate the Haiming rulers. They secretly carried the blood for years as the last of the Haiming family in order to fulfill the Kyprish Prophecy. Upon the Balitangs' return to Rajmuat, they outfitted Sarai with a staff of her own. It was a custom among raka nobility to make their daughters seem more attractive to suitors. They were also aware that Sarai would perhaps be queen soon.

The Temaida family, being full-blood raka nobility, had a tough time in the Rittevon court. The raka nobility were looked down upon and sometimes feared by the luarin, thus they had to fear for their lives and make choices such as withdrawing from their family, after the Balitangs had been exiled by King Oron. Upon the Balitangs' return to Rajmuat, they outfitted Sarai with a staff of her own. It was a custom among raka nobility to make their daughters seem more attractive to suitors. They were also aware that Sarai would perhaps be queen soon.
