Eamonn Toal is an Irish singer. In 1990 he decided to embark on a career in music and moved to London for a couple of years before returning to Ireland and attending the Bel Canto School of Music in Dublin. In 1995 he made his first appearance at Eurovision as a backing vocalist for Eddie Friel's entry Dreamin', which finished outside the Top 10, thus ending the country's run of consecutive wins. Five years later, he took to the Eurovision stage once more in Stockholm as the country's representative and as of 2016, his entry remains the country's best result since the new voting system was introduced. In 2002, he recorded a special tribute to commemorate the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, which was screened on US television. He remains in constant demand for weddings, corporate events and high-profile sporting events.
