Selucian Security
rdfs:comment
The Selucian Security (Selucian: Securitas Seluciana), also known as the SS, was an elite branch of the Armed Forces of Selucia, serving as Selucia's political police. As such, it was accused of numerous crimes against humanity and of operating outside civilian control. The Selucian Security was initially subordinate to the Imperator, however in the later days of the Imperium it was brought under the control of the Princeps Senatus. In the aftermath of the Barmenian Refugee Crisis the SS was disbanded and its personnel transferred to the regular Selucian Army with equivalent rank, while many of the leaders of the SS were prosecuted as a result of a Senate investigation into their role during the Crisis.

Imp. Speaker 2050 We tried to avoid any contact with them in Al'Badara. If we heared of SS patrols close to our operation zone we would mostly try to leave the area. I know fully understand why their parade uniform is black. They are bringing the death to all those who stand against them. And who is standing against them is defined in Selucia. I never believed in religious books before but if someone wants to understand the meaning of Armageddon he has to fight the SS units. He will soon find out what the meaning is. We have divisions which will die without to hesitate. Kanjorian General, Terra War I Hail Imperator absolute obedience till my death. I swear to him and the leaders who he determines me I never saw an enemy so mercyless and fierce fighting like the SS soldiers. Once they broke in our lines we had to pray for our lives. A communist partisan I swear to the Imperator imperturbable loyalty

The origins of the SS are shrouded in mystery. There are legends that its origin goes back to the Unification of Selucia, while others claim that the first security units were formed to stabilize the first government after the foreign occupation of Selucia. What ever may be the truth fact is the first known forming of a SS unit was in the year 2090. While no foreign volunteers were allowed to serve in the Selucian Military this organisation also welcomed foreign volunteers in her rows. Mostly those units were not standing for a long time. In the basic formation Selucian citizens were represented while the major branche of these units were filled by volunteers. 124.940 women and men were part of the Selucian Security units at the time of the organization's disbandment.
