Spell Research
rdfs:comment
Spell research is the process by which new spells are created. Most shugenja will go their entire lives without creating a new spell, but some feel the need to push the boundaries of known magic and create something new. Everquest has revamped the research system many times in the past so it has become quite confusing. To start researching you must acquire a few items first. You need to get a Spell research kit from Researcher Layla in Crescent Reach or from Eric Rasmus in Plane of Knowledge. A Geerlock's automated quill will help you with succes rates as well. * Spells * Essences * Scrolls-Subcombines * Inks-Subcombines * Quills-Subcombines

All spells in the game use a few basic components. The inks which are either crafted or bought, costing 5pp each if bought. The scrolls that are used to scribe the spell on, all of which are dropped by caster mobs of the appropriate level to the spell. These scrolls must be cleaned before you may use them, and under the subcombines section i have listed the directions for each. * Spells * Essences * Scrolls-Subcombines * Inks-Subcombines * Quills-Subcombines
