The Klistorin family was a lesser political family of Naboo, and perhaps the family most prone to Force-sensitivity on the planet. Though they do not often give their young to the Jedi, there have been exceptions, such as Taré Klistorin in the 2nd Century BBY, whose relatives were attached to one of the darker chapters of the family history. Also in the 1st Century BBY, there would be two arranged intermarriages with the Sensari family in a deliberate attempt to produce Force-sensitive children. Three children would result from this, though only one, Cortin Klistorin, would be Force-sensitive. Born in 24 BBY, he would be given to the Jedi, only to be killed by Darth Vader. There was a certain element of pride in the Klistorin family, to the point that in opposition to usual Naboo custom, men of the family who married women of higher-ranking families often kept their own names, and even passed them on to their children.
