In its later years as a provider for the UNSC Navy, the shipyards produced the Lacrimosa-class heavy cruiser. In 2476, the UNSC had uncovered evidence that Heimdallr Shipyards was not operating up-to their expectations. In fact, they had been constructing relatively inexpensive vessels from obsolete parts for nearly a decade. The UNSC Navy would withdraw their funding towards, and revoke their partnership with Heimdallr Shipyards. After their sudden drop in sponsorship, the corporation would retreat from the spotlight. Although they were no longer qualified to construct navy-grade vessels, they would continue to construct civilian starship until 2521, when they were shut-down after word reached the UNSC that Heimdallr Shipyards was covertly aiding the Insurrection.
