The Hint button is a feature used in most games of the Bejeweled series, though it is not present in Bejeweled Twist. In each game the it is always located in the lower left of the screen. When clicked, it will indicate a gem that can be moved to make a match. The Hint button often targets Hypercubes when any are on the board. In Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2, the Hint button will always afflict a penalty when used; it will decrease the level progress bar, meaning the player must make more matches to complete the level and in Action mode, as well as reducing time limit in the Timer Bar. Note that if the Hint button is clicked again after a previous hint, a penalty will not take place. Another match must be made beforehand.
