Maiasaura (meaning "good mother lizard") is a large duck-billed dinosaur genus that lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana in the Upper Cretaceous Period (Campanian), about 74 million years ago. DescriptionMaiasaura was large, attaining an adult length of about 9 meters (30 feet) and had the typical hadrosaurid flat beak and a thick nose. It had a small, spiky crest in front of its eyes. The crest may have been used in headbutting contests between males during the breeding season. These get their name from the term good mother lizards. This comes from some various evidence that seems to indicate that they cared for their hatchlings. Real Maiasaura were large, 9-metre long hadrosaurs that lived in what is now Montana 75 million years ago, in the Late Cretaceous period. They lived in large herds to discourage attacks from predators such as the tyrannosaur Daspletosaurus. Maiasaura eggs, nests, and hatchlings have been discovered, showing evidence that these common dinosaurs took care of and fed their young. The name Maiasaura means "caring mother lizard". The Maiasaura is a hadrosaur that is playable in The Isle. It is basically a smaller version of Shantungosaurus. Maiasaura was large, attaining an adult length of about 9 meters (30 feet) and had the typical hadrosaurid flat beak and a thick nose. It had a small, spiky crest in front of its eyes. The crest may have been used in headbutting contests between males during the breeding season. Her card, along with her Move Card, was activated by curious goat, who kicked the Card Capsule open. Maiasaura was very protective of her egg. She fought with Chomp when the D-Team teleported in right in front of her, but when he was recalled, she realized that her egg was gone, knocked out of the nest during the struggle. She started going beserk looking for it, and would attack anyone who might be trying to hurt her egg. She defeated Terry out of rage with Diving Press, and nearly defeated Paris until she heard her baby crying, which calmed her down enough to make the Battlefield disappear. She and her baby were reunited, and asked, through the Dino Holders, to "go home". Through the power of the Grass Stone, they were both turned in a single card and claimed by Zoe, along with her Move Maiasaura was a medium sized herbivore which is stated to have poor night vision and a melee damage type dinosaur it had a temperament which is noted to be only as largely passive and a overall stamina medium metabolic rate. Maiasaura (meaning "good mother lizard") is an extinct genus of large duck-billed dinosaur that lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana in the Upper Cretaceous Period (Campanian), approximately 74 million years ago. It was one of the last non-avian dinosaurs, and lived alongside Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus shortly before the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event. thumb|400px Significa reptil madre. Maiasaura ("good mother lizard") was a hadrosaur dinosaur from North America, famous for taking care of its young.

n17:abstract
Maiasaura was large, attaining an adult length of about 9 meters (30 feet) and had the typical hadrosaurid flat beak and a thick nose. It had a small, spiky crest in front of its eyes. The crest may have been used in headbutting contests between males during the breeding season. This dinosaur was herbivorous. It walked both on two (bipedal) or four (quadrupedal) legs and appeared to have no defense against predators, except, perhaps, its heavy muscular tail and its herd behaviour. These herds were extremely large and could have comprised as many as 10,000 individuals Maiasaura was discovered by dinosaur paleontologist Jack Horner (paleontologic advisor for the Jurassic Park movies) and Robert Makela. He named the dinosaur after finding a series of nests with remains of eggshells and hatchlings at "Egg Mountain", in rocks of the Two Medicine Formation near Choteau in western Montana. This was the first proof of giant dinosaurs raising and feeding their young. Over 200 specimens, in all age ranges, have been found. Maiasaura (meaning "good mother lizard") is a large duck-billed dinosaur genus that lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana in the Upper Cretaceous Period (Campanian), about 74 million years ago. These herds were extremely large and could have comprised as many as 10,000 individuals. The first fossils of Maiasaura were discovered by paleontologists Jack Horner and Robert Makela in 1978 in the Two Medicine Formation. The discovery included colonies of fossilized nests containing many still-intact eggs and adult specimens, which led paleontologists to believe that newborn hatchlings stayed with the herd, and that their parents provided for them, at least for a while. This apparent form of parental care led to its discovers to christen the genus with the name Maiasaura. thumb|400px Significa reptil madre. Through the power of the Grass Stone, they were both turned in a single card and claimed by Zoe, along with her Move Card. She later fought against the Black T-Rex, but was defeated after it kicked her. Maiasaura was a medium sized herbivore which is stated to have poor night vision and a melee damage type dinosaur it had a temperament which is noted to be only as largely passive and a overall stamina medium metabolic rate. Maiasaura ("good mother lizard") was a hadrosaur dinosaur from North America, famous for taking care of its young. These get their name from the term good mother lizards. This comes from some various evidence that seems to indicate that they cared for their hatchlings.
