Pokemon EX(not to be confused with Pokemon ex) are a type of pokemon variant introduced in Black&White: Next Destinies. These pokemon feature higher than normal HP as well as significantly powerful attacks and abilities. All Pokemon EX typically have a stylized golden EX symbol after their name. All Pokemon EX are Basic Pokemon. Until the expansion known as Legendary Treasures all Pokemon EX were based on Legendary Pokemon. When a Pokemon EX is defeated a player takes 2 prize cards instead of the typical 1. With the introduction of Pokemon X and Y a new type of Pokemon EX exist called M-(Pokemonname) EX.
