Repulsion is the second, higher-tech ability of the Iconus Guardian. The Repulsion amulet is an item that causes monsters to flee from the hero who possesses the item for a short time. This Repulsion effect forces all monsters to move as far and as fast possible in the complete opposite direction. Monsters will not try to defend themselves, and those with projectiles, such as Lobbers and Demons, will stop firing and flee instead; even Death is affected. Though useful for clearing the path to an exit, it can also leave Generators unattended and therefore easy pickings. At the very least, it creates breathing space and a brief respite against the horde. Repulsion is a cutscene in Resident Evil Outbreak File 2. It is an optional cutscene which plays during the "flashback" scenario. In it, an injured Al Lester tries to escape from the Abandoned hospital. Repulsion is a minor magic spell (or charm or frippery). This is the exact opposite of Attraction. This causes the victim to take an instant dislike (not necessarily violent) to another for up to one hour. The vampire was shown using his ability to repel Ariana Crinamorte's time sensing when she attempted to use it to help the Firelock Coven pursue him. She struggled to focus her ability on him, and when she tried to force it, the attempt burned her eyes out. It is unknown whether the ability would have a similar effect or a different one on a person who was trying to physically find the vampire instead of using an ability from a distance.
