All legal disputes between the Authority and the Galactic Empire were handled by the Legal Divisions, and represented Authority interests in Imperial courts. The administrators within the Legal Division took great lengths to avoid antagonizing the Moffs of the adjacent sectors. Subdivisions included Inter-Corporate Tribunal and Sector/Imperial Liaison.
