Similar in length to the Victory-class Star Destroyer the debuted during the Clone Wars, this ship is comparatively far better equipped. It was not, however, intended for heavy duty fleet engagements, but rather more for small ship engagement (corvettes, frigates, destroyers), interdiction, picket, and patrol duty, with some ability in the realm of blockading as well. This ship is supposed to bridge the gap between large military vessels and smaller ships, such as corvettes and gunships, since an enemy might not always attack with a large fleet first, or even at all.
