Type-57 Beam Focuser
rdfs:comment
"Very effective, but in combat, I prefer bolts." -Sangheili Combat Suppliant The Type-16 Beam Focuser is an attachment for the Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle, and is mounted to the front. It should not be confused with the Type-59 Plasma Focuser. It redirects the plasma and focuses it via a plasma channeler, into a narrow beam with greater accuracy then plasma bolts. The beam is mostly used for cutting through walls and plating easily, but was originally meant for repairing Sangheili technology as an in-field welding tool. Some Sangheili Combat Suppliants have used it against their enemies.

It was developed during the San Shyuum-Sangheili War, but was forbidden when the San Shyuum banned technological modifications for any species but their own. They preferred weapons in their most pure form, 'as the Gods intended'.
