Reavers Reavers
rdfs:comment
The first of the future Reavers to encounter any of the X-Men was Donald Pierce, when he was the White Bishop of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club, who bears bionic arms and legs. Once, when Wolverine broke into the Club's Manhattan mansion, he severed Pierce's cybernetic arm from the rest of his body. Months later, Pierce rebelled against the rest of the Inner Circle, which was dominated by mutants led by Black King Sebastian Shaw. Pierce abducted Shaw's aide Tessa and held her and Professor Charles Xavier captive to siphon off their powers into himself. However, Pierce was thwarted by Xavier and his new team, the New Mutants. Tessa regained her freedom, and Pierce was expelled from membership in the Inner Circle. The Reavers are a division of Terran Confederation elite marine units from the Scandinavian nations of Earth. During Operation: Thor's Hammer they were assigned to enter Empire of Kilrah territory in order to divert the Empire's attention as the TCS Tiger's Claw hunted down the superweapon that devastated Goddard Colony. They arrived with the Sleipnir convoy of Drayman-class transports which were protected by Prankster and Angel in the Border Zone system and were escorted until they jumped to their destinations. Agents encountering Reavers on a mission are advised to portal away with alacrity, and to never under any circumstances allow them entry to HQ. Reavers are deadly and apparently feel no fear or pain. Engaging them in combat is not advised, though if it is unavoidable, they can still be killed with standard firearms and melee weapons. Reavers are dangerous creatures that inhabit the darkness of Death. They are used by the Darkness as "watchdogs" and feed on the joy and hope of the souls in the darkness; keeping them downtrodden and controllable. They are known to drive their victims to varying degrees of madness. Reavers are dangerous creatures that inhabit the darkness of Death. They are used by the Darkness as "watchdogs" and feed on the joy and hope of the souls in the darkness; keeping them downtrodden and controllable. They are known to drive their victims to varying degrees of madness. Of note, the Reavers are one of a very short list of Sue assassination methods that the PPC has strictly forbidden the use of. This is probably because of what they do to their victims, described thus in the canon: "They'll rape us to death, eat our flesh, and sew our skins into their clothing. And if we're very very lucky, they'll do it in that order." Even for the PPC, this is pushing things, and probably counts as torture, though on one occasion Flip Finley and Rez Montrose executed a River-replacement Sue in such a manner; it is possible this is what caused the rule to be put in effect. Josh koos al snel de kant van de New Mutants en samen konden ze ontkomen aan de Reavers The first of the future Reavers to encounter any of the X-Men was Donald Pierce, when he was the White Bishop of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club, who bears bionic arms and legs. Three other future members of the Reavers, Cole, Macon, and Reese, were formerly mercenaries employed by the Inner Circle. On the same night that the X-Men first met Pierce, Wolverine was lost into the New York Sewers by Leland's mass-increasing power. When he reentered the club through a sub-basement entrance, he encountered a squad of Hellfire Club mercenaries who had been sent to find and kill him. Wolverine lashed out at three of them with his adamantium claws, leaving the three of them severely wounded; the Inner Circle then had the three men converted into cyborgs. Cole, Macon, and Reese took Wolverine prisoner when the Inner Circle attacked the X-Men's Westchester County headquarters months later, but Wolverine overcame the three men once more. They were seen again working directly for Donald Pierce when he rebelled against the rest of the Hellfire Club and was defeated by Xaver and the New Mutants. Following this, they went underground for a while. Lady Deathstrike had herself transformed into a cyborg by the other-dimensional being called Spiral, in an attempt to gain the means to kill Wolverine, as adamantium had been bonded to his bones in a process stolen from her father, Lord Dark Wind. She then led Cole, Macon, and Reese in an unsuccessful attempt to slay Wolverine in Manhattan. Wolverine was assisted in his escapes by the young Katie Power. WIp The Reavers are a division of Terran Confederation elite marine units from the Scandinavian nations of Earth. Operating near Midgard system, Reavers captured an intact Dralthi class fighter and delivered it back to the Claw so that technicians would salvage tactical data from that ship. Other survivors managed to reach the Jotunheim system with the Drayman and gathered information about the weapon. They were escorted by Maverick and Spirit to the Claw with useful information. The Forge acts as a massive holding ground for the Reavers, with the Elite Force being shocked by the sheer number being held in stasis - enough to conquer the Galaxy, to be exact. Fought within the Forge as well as during the climatic battle with the Vohrsoth the Reavers are ultimately destroyed en mass when Voyager completely destroys the Forge following the death of the Vohrsoth, limiting the threat the Reavers can pose to the Galaxy and preventing the release of a "Seed" that would of helped spawn a second Forge, full of similar beings.
