Marquard was married to Frank Marquard but was unsatisfied with their sexual relationship. She propositioned Irv Levitt while his wife Sarah was across the Ervis Gorge treating Soviet linguist Valery Bryusov for injuries sustained in an attack by a krong. After Frank's death, Pat felt guilty, but finally had sex with Irv Levitt.
