Colin Powell Colin Powell
rdfs:comment
Made a speech to the UN. Feb 2003. See U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell Addresses the U.N. Security Council for text. Born April 5, 1937, Colin Powell is a retired US Army General. He became the 65th United States Secretary of State in January 2001 under President George W. Bush. Prior to this time, Powell served as both National Security Advisor (1987-1989) and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989-1993). Powell has said, "There can be no doubt that Saddam Hussein has biological weapons and the capability to rapidly produce more, many more." Powell also said that there was "no doubt" that Saddam was getting components for nuclear weapons. Powell said further that "every statement [was] backed up by sources, solid sources." Powell later admitted he was misinfomed. He blamed himself and his advisers. Powell will rarely advise you on major life issues, such as whether to take a promotion in another city or whether to kill your wife. However, if you're having trouble installing a chin-up bar, you can expect a visit from Colin Powell. Colin Powell (pronounced Co-lin damn it!) used to be our fearless President's black friend. But too much facty talk about how the liberation of Iraq was really going cost him the position. So he was replaced by Condoleeza Rice, who is both sexier and more obedient. Colin spends his 'retirement' forlornly polishing his Four Stars and thinking about what might have been if he hadn't mouthed off quite so much. During rare piques of bitterness he also appears on TV and offers vague criticisms of his former boss. Colin Powell is a former Secretary of State. Colin Luther Powell (; born April 5, 1937) is an American statesman and a retired four-star general in the United States Army. He was the 65th United States Secretary of State, serving under U.S. President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005, the first African American to serve in that position. During his military career, Powell also served as National Security Advisor (1987–1989), as Commander of the U.S. Army Forces Command (1989) and as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989–1993), holding the latter position during the Persian Gulf War. He was the first, and so far the only, African American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was the first of two consecutive African American office-holders to hold the key Administration position of U.S. Secretary of State. Colin Luther Powell, KCB, MSC, (born April 5, 1937) is an American statesman and a former four-star general in the United States Army. He was the 65th United States Secretary of State (2001-2005), serving under President George W. Bush. He was the first African American appointed to that position. During his military career, Powell also served as National Security Advisor (1987–1989), as Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Army Forces Command (1989) and as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989–1993), holding the latter position during the Gulf War. He was the first, and so far the only, African American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Made a speech to the UN. Feb 2003. See U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell Addresses the U.N. Security Council for text. Powell will rarely advise you on major life issues, such as whether to take a promotion in another city or whether to kill your wife. However, if you're having trouble installing a chin-up bar, you can expect a visit from Colin Powell. Colin Powell is a former Secretary of State.
