Oddly, while Morty's relationship with Stella is average for a spousal relationship, Stella has a very low relationship level with him. Morty has several things in common with Mortimer Goth from Pleasantview. Both have very similar names, as well as having the Knowledge Aspiration, the Cancer zodiac sign, and the same personality and interests. Morty is however still an adult, whereas Mortimer is an elder. Morty wears eyeliner which is uncommon for males in the game, and his son Xander does too. He, his son, Jason Larson and Puck Summerdream are some of the only pre-made male Sims in the game that are wearing make-up. He works in the Adventurer career track at level 5. Morty's relationship with Stella appears to be one-sided as only Morty has a crush on Stella. Also, the Roth family bio says that Stella is a bit restless, possibly implying that Stella will cheat on him or at least that Stella is dissatisfied with moving to Riverblossom Hills. This could be an explanation to their poor relationship. Oddly, Morty does not have any memories of his mother Sara Roth, instead his memories implied that he was raised by his father as well as Alexandra O'Mackey's mother Sarah Teatherton. This could mean that Sarah Teatherton may have been Morty's caretaker, that his mother abandoned the family or that the developers simply mistook the two characters for each other due to their almost identical names.
