Mr. Dolan previously served as Special Assistant to the Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council. While at the NSC, he coordinated Presidential decision directives on "Intelligence Priorities in Asia", "U.S. Counterintelligence Effectiveness", and "Euro-Asian Technology and Weapons of Mass Destruction". In this capacity he was responsible for the strengthening of covert action reporting requirements, the creation of a statutory Inspector General at the CIA, and the introduction of comprehensive legislation to reorganize U.S. intelligence. Prior to his appointment as Special Assistant, Mr. Dolan worked as a consultant in Japan and parts of central Asia. After three successful years identifying and tracking terrorist organizations and materials, he retired from field work to serve his position as Assistant to the Director. A former Green Beret, Mr. Dolan holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and an M.I.A. from the School of International Affairs at Columbia University.
