Laura Maxwell is a voice actor in Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. Laura Maxwell is an American Actress, Writer and Producer born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, where she attended Springside School for Girls. While there she excelled in the Visual Arts and Theater. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City to begin training in the Meisner Technique with esteemed acting teacher William Esper of The William Esper Studio. While in school she was cast in the lead role, Cali, in a developmental theater production of "The Trouble With Cali", opposite veteran actor Paul Sorvino, which would later be turned into a film. While In New York. She also studied with teacher/directors Kelly Kimball, Robert Castle, and the late Curt Dempster. Maxwell began appearing regularly in Off-Off Broadway productions, TV commercials and at comedy clubs doing sketches by the mid 2000s. At this time, she also began writing plays, most notably the one act play "Five Items or Less", which was produced by Ensemble Studio Theater's Citylab and the short comedy "The Last Line" which was adapted for the screen and directed by Benjamin Murray. In 2006, she co-wrote and starred in the film "Salmon Story" by director Jarrah Gurrie. Soon after, she booked a leading role in the WB comedy/improv show, "Make My Day" in which she co-starred with actors and comedians Mario Lopez, Lewis Black, Paul Scheer, Michael Maronna, and Beth Ostrosky. Although the show never aired, Maxwell soon relocated to Los Angeles and began work as a Performer, Writer and Producer in the online comedy satire "Penny and Pru", an episode of NBC's "Last Comic Standing", and in the films "Misplaced", "The Best of Robbers", "Green Screen Guy", and the film "Ruby Falls".
