After being called a moron by Stewie in "Stewie, Chris & Brian's Excellent Adventure" for failing to learn any history on a trip through time, Chris boards the Titanic with their Time Machine return pad. Stewie and Brian climb a mooring rope and find him in a dining room just as the ship strikes the iceberg, damaging the return pad. They attempt to pose as female passengers, but are denied access to the last lifeboat. Chris bulls his way past Nigel Harpington, the officer in charge and the boys escape from the ship to find time to repair the pad. On returning to the present, Stewie checks a "Titanic Casualties" web site and discovers that passengers Cornelia Andrews, Elizabeth Bonall, William Carter and Alice Fortune are listed as deceased, but by killing Nigel they had made a slight alter RMS Titanic was a really big ship that sunk in 1912 after a disagreement with an iceberg. They said it was unsinkable - what fools. They should have taken the bus instead. (VOY: ) The R.M.S Titanic was first thought of at a dinner in Lord Pirries house. Lord Pirrie and Joseph Bruce Ismay thought of the plans. Almost immeadeatly after getting approval, construction of the massive liner began at the Harland and Wolf in Belfast, Ireland. This massive liner was to be 882 feet-long and 44,000 Tons. This was huge for her time. She was christined in 1911 by Lord Pirrie, before being launched. She was put in a dry dock where the ships final touches were added and she was fitted out. Then she was Sea Trials. Among the Amnetties were the Gymnasium, The Indoor Swimming Pool, The Promeneade decks, and more. There was also 2 lavish and luxurish Parlor Suites, wich featured a sitting room, 2 bedrooms, a dining room, a private was/bath, and a 50 foot private promeneade. Both suite The RMS Titanic was an Olympic class ocean liner built in the early 20th Century by the United Kingdom. The vessel was heralded as "unsinkable". In an alternate 2374, Lieutenant Tom Paris of the starship USS Voyager created transverse bulkheads based on the Titanic to strengthen the ship's hull after successive Krenim attacks. When Captain Janeway reminded Paris of the Titanic's fate, he assured her he had improved the design. (VOY: "Year of Hell") The script of "Playing God" described the verteron nodes in the wormhole as being "like icebergs blocking the Titanic." (TOS novel: The Rings of Time) The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. Billed as "unsinkable", the tragedy has been a point of fascination in the decades following, inspiring stories, documentaries, and movies about the event. RMS Titanic was the smallest cargo steamship in the world when she set off on her final voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, USA, on 10 April 1912. Flags were waved, kisses blown and babies thrown as many happy immigrants were leaving sad, tired Europe to become Americans and learn fluent baseball. But it wasn't to be. The Titanic had a full compliment of passengers and crew, but alas, without a full compliment of methods to save them all if they ran into anything whilst at sea. The Seventh Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield travelled to the Titanic, tracking Huitzilin. They were on the ship when it collided with the iceberg. The Doctor noted that the event of its sinking was part of the Web of Time. Bij deze ramp kwamen 1.523 mensen om en konden er 705 worden gered. Het schip had slechts twintig reddingssloepen aan boord, nog niet eens genoeg voor de helft van de bemanning. - Cortana The R.M.S. The RMS Titanic was an ocean-going vessel on Earth, infamous for striking an iceberg and sinking during its maiden voyage in 1912, in spite of claims that it could not be sunk. The captain of the Titanic, Edward John Smith, apparently escaped the sinking ship when a door to The Captain's Table appeared on deck. (NF novel: Once Burned) Neither the captain or his ship are actually named in the novel, though the reference is implicit. Standing on the USS Enterprise in 2267, Jadzia Dax wished that she would able to time travel again, to the time of the Titanic and make sure the lifeboats were filled to capacity. (DS9 novelization: Trials and Tribble-ations) In 2270, Governor Skooka Dawson compared Skagway sinking into Klondike VI's atmosphere to the sinking of the Titanic. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time) In 2373, Mark McHenry compared Yoz's attempts to rebuild the Thallonian Empire to moving the furniture around on the Titanic. (NF novel: End Game) For centuries to follow, the name Titanic was synonymous with disaster. Its treasure vaults were also famous. (DS9 novel: The Long Night) The Seventh Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield travelled to the Titanic, tracking Huitzilin. They were on the ship when it collided with the iceberg. The Doctor noted that the event of its sinking was part of the Web of Time. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird) El Ape, a temporary travelling companion of the Seventh Doctor, actually caused the ship to sink. (COMIC: Follow That TARDIS!) The Master, trapped on Earth in the early 20th century, boarded the Titanic when it sank, to avoid the upcoming First World War by migrating to the United States of America. (AUDIO: Mastermind) The Fourth Doctor had an issue of the Daily Mirror describing the disaster, which he saw Borusa reading. On noticing this, the Doctor promised that he had nothing to do with the ship's destruction. (TV: The Invasion of Time) The Ninth Doctor persuaded several people to not board the liner on its maiden voyage. (TV: Rose) He later told Jabe that he had once been on a ship that "they said was unsinkable." He "ended up clinging to [the] iceberg," commentating that "it wasn't half cold." (TV: The End of the World) The Eleventh Doctor was on the Titanic shortly before he visited Klimtenburg. The voyage soaked one of his napkins. (PROSE: Plague of the Cybermen) Following the sinking, measures were taken place to see that such an accident would not occur again. To that end, the International Ice Patrol was formed and future ships would have round-the-clock radio surveillance and lifeboats for everyone. As the Seventh Doctor noted to Cristián Alvarez, to prevent the Titanic disaster would condemn future passengers. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird) When asked by her teacher why the Titanic sank, Mels said it was because the Doctor didn't save it, and then called the teacher stupid for not knowing. This got her sent to the head teacher's office. (VOY: ) After being called a moron by Stewie in "Stewie, Chris & Brian's Excellent Adventure" for failing to learn any history on a trip through time, Chris boards the Titanic with their Time Machine return pad. On returning to the present, Stewie checks a "Titanic Casualties" web site and discovers that passengers Cornelia Andrews, Elizabeth Bonall, William Carter and Alice Fortune are listed as deceased, but by killing Nigel they had made a slight alteration to the present that results in Chris getting a new teacher that doesn't believe in tests. (VOY: "Year of Hell") The script of "Playing God" described the verteron nodes in the wormhole as being "like icebergs blocking the Titanic." (VOY: "Year of Hell, Deel I") RMS Titanic was the smallest cargo steamship in the world when she set off on her final voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, USA, on 10 April 1912. The ship was in British terms, the dogs bollocksIt was liner with a newly invented word to honour it. No ship before was called the Titanic - and certainly none after were going to borrow it either. So it remains unique. Yet it was an unlucky name. For fans of Greek mythology knew what had happend to the original titans, the family of gods displaced and deposed by Zeus and the Olympians. Four days into the trip, on 14 April 1912, the Titanic got unlucky and ran into a slow, ambling pedestrian of an gasberg that wasn't even in the bloody crosswalk as it wallowed out in the North Atlantic. Within three hours she had gone, taking 1,517 people who either by choice or bad luck were unable to get off this metal monster as the ship dived below the waves like a whale and then just kept going. It was one of the deadliest maritime disasters in history.Titanic's spectacular demise and a future rich source for cliches, similies, metaphors and, of course, jokes. An Olympic class ocean liner, though in retrospect failing to medal, was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, now Northern Ireland. She set sail for New York City with 2,223 people on board; the high casualty rate when the ship sank was due in part to the fact that, although complying with the regulations of the time, the ship carried lifeboats for women and children only (excluding Third Class). This was a landmark moment for the feminist movement. Titanic was designed by some of the most experienced engineers, and used some of the most advanced technologies available at the time. Unfortunately not the best engineers and GPS navigation. It was a great shock to many that, despite the extensive safety features, Titanic sank in less than three hours. Especially for those left behind as the 'saved' 700 rowed away to take photographs of the event and semaphore friends long distance. Like the unfortunate victims of 9/11, people told stories of 'the jumpers' as they dived into the sea and froze solid with cold like a fish finger. This 'freezing frenzy' would be remembered long after the event. Then the stories would start about what happened, the famous victims, the stoicism of those who chose to dress for dinner rather than finding a life jacket. It was a disaster but brought the best out in people, at least as the resulting legends would proclaim. When the shipwreck was discovered in the 1980s, there would be a new Titanic Fever though no one (yet) has suggested building a replica so that passengers could experience all the fears the originals went through and then go home happily to watch it all again on an iPhone. The Law of the Sea would be changed but let's face it, society loves a train ship wreck. In fact, the highest-grossing chick flick in history is based on it! It grossed more than a billion dollars worldwide, even higher than Twilight, which the cliched romance part clearly ripped off of. The Titanic is referenced proverbially in some Harry Turtledove works with a post-1912 POD. In Supervolcano and The War That Came Early, some characters say "We're all in the same boat, and its the Titanic". The RMS Titanic was an Olympic class ocean liner built in the early 20th Century by the United Kingdom. The vessel was heralded as "unsinkable". The R.M.S Titanic was first thought of at a dinner in Lord Pirries house. Both suites were reserved on the maiden voyage for Joseph Bruce Ismay and Lord Pirrie, but after Lord Pirrie died, she was reserved for millonaire Sir Charles Williams and his Father. Finally on April 10,1912 the Titanic departed on her Maiden Voyage from Southmton, England, to New York, USA. Sadly on April 14, 1912 the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank the next morning. She was later found by Dr. Robert Ballard in 1985. She made a few stops at other European countries, then sailed for New York. At 12:00, she got hit and sank about two hours later. It was not 100% sure she was hit by a iceberg. it could have been the goverment or the White Star Line itself, for economic reasons. The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. Billed as "unsinkable", the tragedy has been a point of fascination in the decades following, inspiring stories, documentaries, and movies about the event. - Cortana The R.M.S.
