The State of China, or the Republic of China is a state that from the Japanese inavasion in 1917, lost all forms of government. The state was under nominal control of General Chiang Kai Shek, who led his few remaining troops from a mountain base against Maoist Communist and Japanese forces. Although it maintained friendly relations with Germany and other EA countries, it was unable to foster alliances with them. Following the Japanese surrender in 1924, the state regained control over all of China and a government was finally installed in Peking.
