Worm Egg/HD
rdfs:comment
The Worm Egg is an immobile structure that is commonly found in the bonus Worm level. It is hardly a threat by itself, but it will suddenly burst open when the Spelunker comes near, spawning three Worm Babies and a few harmless Maggots. If the Worm Egg is destroyed before it hatches, the Worm Babies inside will also be killed (though they are not included in the kill count at the end of the level).

n15:abstract
The Worm Egg is an immobile structure that is commonly found in the bonus Worm level. It is hardly a threat by itself, but it will suddenly burst open when the Spelunker comes near, spawning three Worm Babies and a few harmless Maggots. If the Worm Egg is destroyed before it hatches, the Worm Babies inside will also be killed (though they are not included in the kill count at the end of the level). It's a good idea to attack Worm Eggs from a distance as soon as you see them, or you risk the level becoming flooded with enemies that can be difficult to fight in the dangerous environment of the Worm.
