slam bang! wow! now thats magic. * Chaos Magick * Ceremonial Magick * Wiccan Magick * Shamanic Magick and because i didn't know where to put it, my metaphorical perspective Disclaimer: this page and others use examples of wiccan magic, it is not required for you to change your beliefs to practice magic, or anything noted to be wiccan, it is simply the knowledge forte of the author. "Magick" is the spelling of the word "magic" that was promoted by Aleister Crowley. Crowley intended for this spelling to distinguish real magic from the trickery of stage magic. This Crowleyan spelling was later adopted by various other people, not just followers of Crowley (thelemites). To learn about magic, see the article magic. Magick is an ancient form of mystical arts in which the user, through various spells and incantations, can achieve a wide range of things ranging from controlling the elements to controlling others. Magick is an alternate spelling of magic, coined by Aleister Crowley to differentiate 'the true science of the Magi from all its counterfeits'. Crowley defined magick as "the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with the will." By this, he included "mundane" acts of will as well as ritual magic. Magick is based on summoning and controlling various Runes of Power. Rune symbols are the means to control this form of magick, allowing the caster to channel his magickal energies and shape it to a desired effect. Not restricted to Mages alone, Magick can be learned by nearly any Class, although spells are less effective and limited in scope for non-mage adventurers. Magick (spelled differently from 'magic' to differentiate it from illusionary stage-magic) is the act of making reality conform to ones will through the shaping of symbolism. Magick (more commonly spelled magic) is the use of energy and intention to effect the world around you. This can be accomplished in many different ways. Magick can also vary based on the culture it comes from. Magick is the process by which Ocean Masters create commodities out of thin air. It's typically used to help resolve theft cases, losses to server reboots or game glitches, to award prizes for OM-sponsored competitions, and to generate rum/cannonballs for bakeoff usage. Magick is the name for a number of paths that believe in casting spells to solve a few or all problems. Also it is believed that most of the secret societies and successful entrepreneurs emerging from there, owe their successes to magick. Transfers of energy, commanding elements, magick is part of some tricksters arsenal. It once was the deitys sole right until mankind made its claim through the use of Adamantine. The rock alowed for the manifestation of mans will and force into artificial elements. Conjuring flames and gusts is but toying with this force, an apprantices pass time. Accomplished and seasoned mages, of which there are few, will never present you with a gimmick or illusion. Magick is to be taken very serious. In the world of Arcanum there are two opposing forces, those of Magick (your're wrong if you think the 'k' shouldn't be there) and technology. Technology works with the laws of nature while magick works the opposite way, magick power is gained through using ones own willpower to bend or even break the laws of nature. Magick in Arcanum is broken up into 16 colleges of magick, each consisting of 5 seperate spells which are as follows: Magick is a ckommon prackticke employed in Americka when one wishes to ckonfuse enemies by the use of anckient homophones. Magick is both powerful and benign; it ckan even be used to stop people from dying. Those who have a full mastery of magick are easily identified by their ability to trickk people into joining expensive religious movements, by their hooded ckloaks, and their tendencky to be avoided by squirrels. Magickal persons also are ckonstantly surrounded (and mostly blinded) by the Aurora Borealis, which is the Goddess's way of ckounterackting their awesome powers. Much like magic, but spelled with a K. In the world of Arcanum there are two opposing forces, those of Magick and technology. Or probably would be better if each one had it's page, a little explanation and the spells under.

The spelling "magick" is used by the later wiccan author Raymond Buckland, and the neo-wiccan authors Silver Ravenwolf and Fiona Horne, and among non-wiccans it is used by the satanist leader David Myatt, and by the fat ugly jewish author Donald Michael Kraig. The spelling "magick" was also used in the 1974 publication of the Earth Religion News version of the long wiccan rede (probably by the choice of the chief edittor Herman Slater), which was one of the earliest usages of that spelling in Wicca, and probably influenced subsequent authors to imitate that spelling.
