Grigori Grigori
rdfs:comment
Grigori, also known simply as The Dragon, is a powerful entity sent by The Seneschal to test the different Arisen of different worlds in search of one, true Arisen whose will is great enough to make it through his or her journey and challenge the dragon. The Dragon's Dogma, the dogma it follows, is that of the Seneschal's: the dragon's sole purpose is to find the one who can slay it, so that the Seneschal has a worthy successor whose will is capable of sustaining the Eternal Cycle that the whole of known existence requires in order to continue spinning onward. The Grigori are the only civilization that can recruit the powerful Adventurer unit. The Adventurer is a Great Person and Hero that can be upgraded into almost any human unit. The Grigori use these customizable heroes as elite warriors, and they can grow into some of the best units in the game. The Grigori are a group of mysterious beings originating from another dimension with the intention to supply energy to the Missing Procedure, thus destroying the universe and creating a new, lifeless one. The Watchers or Grigori are a group of fallen angels told of in Biblical apocrypha who mated with human females, giving rise to a race of hybrids known as the Nephilim, who are mentioned in Genesis 6:4. The Watchers appear in Biblical apocrypha, in the first and second books of Enoch and Jubilees. The word "Grigori" derives from the Slavonic Second Book of Enoch. A mysterious form of matter from parts unknown, exhibiting high levels of energy and capable of modifying the structure of matter at the atomic level. The Morphus consider it a dangerous substance and are currently investigating its origins. Voice-like waves can be heard among the energy it emits; the name "Grigori" comes from a similar-sounding pattern among those waves. Thanatos was a reaper from Ratio who fell in love with an unnamed human woman while reaping souls from Naraka in order to sustain Devaloka. Rumors began circulating that he was visiting Naraka during his off-duty hours, which eventually resulted in him being banished from Devaloka and leaving it altogether in order to protect Naraka. His brother, Hypnos, was also a reaper and was reassigned due to this incident, becoming the general of Ratio. Thanatos and the human woman produced many children, the Grigori, passing down Thanatos's blood and bestowing upon the offspring powers similar to Avatars. The Grigori's appearance does not differ too drastically from that of humans', though they do all look very similar to one another. He appears to be eccentric and possibly mentally unstable, but is generally friendly. In Half-Life 2, he helps Gordon Freeman survive his trip through Ravenholm, granting Freeman permission to use the various traps he has rigged throughout the town, giving Gordon the SPAS-12, and escorting him to the mines on the far side of the zombie infested town. --William Shakespeare, "Othello" The Grigori, also known as the Watchers, were one of Heaven's great tragedies. Created to be teachers and guides to humanity, this giant Choir grew too close to the humans they watched and ultimately sired children by them, including the hideous Nephalim. Dominic, the Archangel of Judgment, put every angel in the Choir on trial and sentenced them all to be Outcast to Earth for an indefinite period. The Grigori are popularly believed to be either extinct, or at least significantly diminished; even speaking their true name aloud is believed by angels to be unlucky. The Grigori are the Supreme Advisors to the True Cross Order. A Grigori Soul (天使型 (エグリゴリ), Egurigori; Literally meaning "Angel Type") is the term given to souls which have a unique shape. Grigori Souls are incredibly rare and are said to appear in only one in fifty million people. The Grigori were an elite class of powerful angels that were sent to Earth to protect humanity. They were some of the first angels to arrive on Earth. They eventually fell from their post, and started to feed on human souls. Most of them were wiped out, but a few of them still remain on Earth. Before the birth of Noah, the Grigori were hunted by Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel, cast into the underworld and baptized with demons, their wings torn as punishment from God, and their women were cursed as mermaids and most of the Nephilim, their Giant sons, slain by the great flood. Years later, the mermaids were hunted down by pirates in the eminence of revenge and dead. The primordial fallen angels.

The Grigori are capable of reforming from their original, inorganic state to adapt to the local environment and conditions. The resulting form depends on the host it uses, but differences can be seen among the individual Grigori as well, and it has been determined that they possess individual self-awareness. To function within our world, they apparently require a host life form, which they then transform, suggesting that they once existed in another dimension unlike ours. Exactly where they came from remains a mystery. In addition to their individual self-reliance, the Grigori seem to all work off of a shared repository of accumulated memories and experiences. They have never been noted as working together, however, apparently sharing memories only as units of information. The Grigori are a group of mysterious beings originating from another dimension with the intention to supply energy to the Missing Procedure, thus destroying the universe and creating a new, lifeless one. They are the main antagonists of Star Ocean: The Last Hope. They hold a supremacist attitude to other life-forms, addressing them as lowly, unworthy or filth. The main party periodically encounters some of the Grigori as boss characters, where each of them are powerful enough to hold its own against the protagonists. Their names originate from the mythical fallen angels from biblical apocrypha. It is unknown whether or not Luther created this race. It seems that it would be undesired, however, because of their intentions to destroy and recreate a lifeless universe. Thus, this race may, in fact, be a sort of virus input into the Eternal Sphere by unknown forces. However, since the Grigori are only seen in The Last Hope, it is much more likely that Luther did not have anything to do with their creation, since The Last Hope's universe has been established to not take place within the Eternal Sphere. This leaves very little information on the origin of the Grigori other then the fact that they are from another dimension within the reality of the universe. The Grigori were an elite class of powerful angels that were sent to Earth to protect humanity. They were some of the first angels to arrive on Earth. They eventually fell from their post, and started to feed on human souls. Most of them were wiped out, but a few of them still remain on Earth. The Grigori are the Supreme Advisors to the True Cross Order. During the fall of Lucifer (first to be tried), he went straight to the underworld and arrested, Samyaza took his place as leader of the fallen angels by being secondary to the judgment of God, the 200 thousand angels rebel were expelled into exile from the land. The Adventurer is a Great Person and Hero that can be upgraded into almost any human unit. The Grigori use these customizable heroes as elite warriors, and they can grow into some of the best units in the game. Father Grigori is the only known surviving occupant of Ravenholm during the events of Half-Life 2. Some of the Grigori may have Fallen still further to become Skulkers, using their ability to suppress disturbances to hide from everyone and everything. If any Skulkers survive, neither Heaven nor Hell have seen them (despite the best efforts of the latter to recruit them). thumb|Grigori und das Herz des ErwecktenGrigori ist ein Drache und der Haupt-Antagonist im Spiel Dragon's Dogma.
