His Royal Majesty Joseph III, High King of Endralon, Lord Protector of the Endralon People was an important political and royal figure in the nation of Endralon; Joseph III was the King of Endralon from 2905 until the abolishment of the Monarchy in 2911 and served as the President of Endralon from 2913 to January 2914 and from September 2914 to 2917. Joseph III, since he had not relinquished his claim to the throne after the monarch's abolishment, still titled himself as the "pretender to the Endralon Kingdom", and head of the House of Fortenohfiv during his administration as President. Joseph III died on November 22, 2950 after being shot in a parade going through the Grand Plaza of Endralon. His assassination rocked the entire nation; considered the last stable Fortenohfiv leader, his son Prince Joseph, contrary to tradition, was coronated with simple manners as the Fortenohfiv King minutes after his death. Joseph III's assassination was a key factor in the events leading up to the Endralon Civil War, where his son waged a military campaign against the House of Syldavia who replaced the Fortenohfiv family.
