n3:abstract
Galaghard Obarskyr was a king of Cormyr. It is said that a particular moonstone chess set in the royal palace has a good likeness of him. He is Duar Obarskyr's only son and heir from his second wife. Duar remarried after his first wife's family betrayed the country. Galaghard only officially ruled Cormyr from 480 DR to 514 DR but his only son died quite late into his reign. Amedahast extended Galaghard's life with longevity magics which allowed him to assume the identity of his dead heir. As Galaghard II he had three more male children but all of them rebelled against him and he had to have them all slain. Again, with Amedahast's help, he sustained his own life yet further and took the identity of his third son whom he lied was actually still loyal to him. As King Draxius Obarskyr he was king of Cormyr. He was known to be on the throne in 629 DR. He had a dislike of cats on account of their lack of devotion compared to dogs.
