Bassam was a terrorist and a member of Ari Haswari's first official terrorist cell located on the outskirts of Washington D.C. He and the members of the terrorist cell planned to capture U.S President George W. Bush and Israeli President Ariel Sharon so that they could hold them hostage and eventually exchange them for prisoners in Israel. Bassam was also one of the members of the group who kidnapped Agent Caitlin Todd and took her to their hideout in the Washington countryside. During the ride, Bassam grew increasingly frustrated with Kate's answers about who was ringing her cell phone and lashed out by slapping Kate repeatedly while left her lips bruised and bloodied. Kate refused to say anything but once Ari released her from her cuffs, she took her revenge by hitting Bassam, causing him to yell in Arabic while Air was forced to intervene and physically restrain Bassam until Bassam had calmed with the outburst occurring presumably due to the fact that Bassam had been left insulted by the fact that a woman like Kate had been allowed to hit him, thus wounding Bassam's own pride. Bassam was later seen leaving the hideout to go to the pre-arranged location where they hoped to capture the Presidents, not realizing that Ari had been playing them all along and was knowingly leading the group into a trap. Marta, one of the terrorists, having realized the truth attempted to call the group to alert them but Ari killed by shooting her through the forehead with Kate's weapon. It's presumed that due to the group never getting the call, they along with Bassam were all killed during the gunfight. Bassam is a friend of Djaq's uncle. He is the Sultan's official pigeon handler. |}
