Mars Class Carrier (Cruenta Humanitas)
rdfs:comment
Carriers are dreadnought-sized vessels that carry a large number of fighters. The role of the carriers of modern day UN Armada is similar to the aircraft carriers during the first half of the XXI century; but its role importance has been superseded by that of the dreadnoughts in space combat. In fleet combat, carriers stay clear of battle, launching fighters. The carrier can carry up to 200 manned and unmanned ships. Fighters are the primary striking power of the ship; if a carrier enters into the range of the enemy heavy weapons, things can go very wrong as proved in the Tondone Offensive.

n27:abstract
Carriers are dreadnought-sized vessels that carry a large number of fighters. The role of the carriers of modern day UN Armada is similar to the aircraft carriers during the first half of the XXI century; but its role importance has been superseded by that of the dreadnoughts in space combat. In fleet combat, carriers stay clear of battle, launching fighters. The carrier can carry up to 200 manned and unmanned ships. Fighters are the primary striking power of the ship; if a carrier enters into the range of the enemy heavy weapons, things can go very wrong as proved in the Tondone Offensive. It is possible to recover and rearm fighters during combat, though most carriers seal the flight deck and try to stay out of the way. The flight deck is essentially a corridor through the armor and into the heart of the vessel. A single well-placed torpedo is enough to gut a carrier. Carriers are named after colonies founded by humanity.
