List of Seljuk Successor States (Yarmuk)
rdfs:comment
After the formal collapse of the Sultanate of Grand Seljuk in 1094 (and indeed before this date) many new political entities were formed. These were short lasting; those that didn't get annexed by the Ummayad Caliphate were to befall a worse fate in 1258, with the invasion of Mongol armies under Hulegu Khan. These states are as follows: * The Ummayad Caliphate * The Sultanate of Hamadan/ Sultanate of Grand Seljuk * The Zangid Dynasty * The Ortoqids * The Danishmends * The Marvian Dynasty * The Seljuks of Armenia * The Seljuks of Aleppo
